COMMERCIAL MANDATES

A defined commercial objective. A dedicated search for the right counterparty.

Some transactions do not need a marketplace. They need the right counterparties identified, approached and moved into a serious commercial conversation. Commerce One accepts selected mandates to do exactly that.

THE APPROACH

We take defined commercial opportunities directly to market.

Commerce One combines market mapping, company and decision-maker research, direct commercial outreach, qualification and persistent opportunity development to identify the counterparties capable of completing a transaction.

Rather than relying only on listings, inbound enquiries or existing networks, we actively build the relevant market and approach it.

SELL-SIDE

We find the market for what you have.

Commerce One represents selected principals seeking buyers, commercial partners or counterparties for defined opportunities.

Potential mandate types include:

  • specialised machinery and equipment
  • commodities and recurring supply
  • commercial inventory
  • manufacturing capacity
  • distribution and territory rights
  • licensing opportunities
  • technology and intellectual property
  • specialist assets
  • other high-value commercial opportunities
EXAMPLE

A specialised piece of industrial equipment may be worth A$2 million but have only a small number of realistic buyers globally. Commerce One maps that buyer universe, identifies the relevant decision-makers, approaches them directly, qualifies genuine interest and works the opportunity toward transaction.

BUY-SIDE

We find the market for what you need.

Commerce One also accepts selected mandates where a principal needs to identify and secure a specific supplier, product, asset, technology, manufacturer or other commercial capability.

Potential mandates include:

  • commodity supply
  • raw materials
  • specialist equipment
  • manufacturers
  • contract manufacturing
  • suppliers
  • technologies
  • licensing opportunities
  • strategic assets
  • acquisition targets
  • other defined commercial requirements
RECURRING COMMERCIAL SUPPLY

The opportunity may extend far beyond a single transaction.

For suitable commodities and recurring supply relationships, the objective is not simply to complete one shipment. Commerce One can identify qualified counterparties, establish the commercial relationship and help develop an ongoing supply channel.

SPECIALIST ASSETS

When the buyer universe is small, finding the right buyer matters more than reaching the largest audience.

Marketplaces can create visibility, but highly specialised transactions often depend on identifying a relatively small number of capable counterparties. Commerce One builds that market directly and approaches it.

HOW IT WORKS

A focused commercial search from objective to transaction.

01 — UNDERSTAND

We establish the asset, product, requirement, commercial objective, transaction economics, geography and authority.

02 — MAP THE MARKET

We identify the organisations most likely to buy, supply or otherwise satisfy the mandate.

03 — ENGAGE

Commerce One approaches the relevant companies and decision-makers directly.

04 — QUALIFY

We determine capability, interest, commercial fit and timing.

05 — ADVANCE

We manage follow-up, information exchange, introductions and commercial progression.

06 — TRANSACT

We work the opportunity toward an agreed transaction, involving the principal and relevant advisers where required.

COMMERCIAL MODEL

Defined mandates are scoped around the transaction.

Commercial terms depend on the nature, value, complexity and duration of the mandate. Engagements may include an establishment or management component together with transaction-aligned success economics.

Mandate acceptance is selective and subject to commercial fit and, where relevant, legal, licensing, sanctions, trade and regulatory review.

TWO CAPABILITIES. ONE ENGINE.

How mandates relate to Managed Sales.

MANAGED SALES

We run the sale.

Ongoing sales execution for an established B2B product or service.

COMMERCIAL MANDATES

We find and develop the counterparty for a defined commercial objective.

A selected, transaction-specific buy-side or sell-side engagement.

The two capabilities use much of the same Commerce One market intelligence, research, outreach and opportunity-development infrastructure but have different commercial structures.

COMMERCE ONE STUDIO

We build what the transaction needs.

Where a commercial opportunity requires stronger positioning, sales materials, landing environments, proposals, product presentation or conversion assets, Commerce One Studio can build the supporting environment required to move it forward.

DISCUSS A MANDATE

Tell us what you are trying to make happen.

Describe the opportunity, the approximate value and the timing. Commerce One will assess whether the mandate is a fit before any commercial commitment.

Human-governed. Machine-enabled. Built to scale.
